The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care. Primary duties include admitting patients, conducting rounding checks, administering medications, and collaborating with families and the healthcare team.
Candidates must hold an RN degree such as a Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN and possess authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire, and previous RN experience is preferred, though new graduates are welcome.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical area: all Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
RN Degree: RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN
Requires authorization from the State Board of Nursing of eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse Applicant.
