The Endoscopy Technician assists physicians and nurses during complex gastrointestinal and pulmonary procedures while ensuring patient safety. They are also responsible for the meticulous cleaning, high-level disinfection, and maintenance of specialized endoscopic equipment.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a Surgical Tech or Endoscopy Tech program. A minimum of 3 years of endoscopy experience is required for this senior-level position.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated SENIOR Endoscopy Technician to join our dynamic team. The Endoscopy Technician plays a critical role in patient care by assisting the proceduralist during complex cases and ensuring the highest standards of infection control through meticulous endoscope reprocessing.
HS - High School Grad or Equivalent REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Surgical Tech or Endoscopy Tech program Required. Trade School
Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or SGNA Associate (GTS) preferred
Require Society of Gastroenterology Nurses & Associates (SGNA) Certification None required
Required Endoscopy Experience - 3 years

This is an excellent opportunity for a technician looking to expand their skill set with advanced GI and Pulmonary procedures in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Our unit performs a mix of routine diagnostic and advanced interventional procedures, including:
Gastrointestinal: Diagnostic EGDs and Colonoscopies, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), and Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR).
Pulmonary: Diagnostic Bronchoscopies, Navigational Bronchoscopy, and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS).
Intra-Procedural Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Anticipate the needs of the proceduralist, handle specimens, and manage complex equipment setup.
Scope Reprocessing: Perform manual cleaning and high-level disinfection (HLD) of flexible endoscopes strictly adhering to manufacturer guidelines and infection control standards.
Room Turnover: Ensure procedure rooms are cleaned, stocked, and set up efficiently between cases to maintain department flow.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform leak testing and visual inspection of scopes; troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Assists with the patient care in the Endoscopy Department. Is familiar with gastrointestinal and pulmonary diseases and assists during endoscopic procedures. Responsible for the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment and supplies. Functions under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.
Standard Hours: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
On-Call: Rotating call is required to cover emergencies outside of standard hours. Specific call expectations and frequency will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
