The Lead Biogas Technician oversees the operation and maintenance of RNG facilities, focusing on process optimization and advanced troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components. They also serve as a supervisory authority for the team, providing mentorship and ensuring strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Candidates must have over 3 years of experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment and a valid driver's license. An associate's degree or technical diploma in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in gas compression.
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Lead Biogas Technician will be required to work in a team environment to accomplish the operations and maintenance objectives identified by Seaboard Foods RNG Management. Lead technicians are expected to have a solid understanding of RNG systems, including core mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components, and to demonstrate consistent adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards. You will be responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting, executing preventative maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement efforts to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of RNG facility operations. This role acts as the supervisory authority in lieu of an absent Area Supervisor of the operating area, requiring sound reasoning, decision-making, employee motivation, and communicative decisions for the team and
ensuring safe, reliable operations.
