The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drink and food orders while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. They must also process payments accurately and adhere to all health and liquor safety regulations.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a bar or restaurant setting. Essential requirements include a valid Maricopa County Food Handlers Card and an Arizona Alcohol Awareness Certification.

Scottsdale Arts was established in 1987 as a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) and has evolved into an organization with six dynamic operating departments that span the visual and performing arts, arts education and cultural engagement. Through its six departments, Scottsdale Arts offers diverse, high-quality arts experiences to hundreds of thousands of Scottsdale residents and visitors annually in addition to fostering the active engagement of government, business, education, and the private sector in the arts.
Prepares and delivers drink and/or food orders utilizing excellent customer service and accuracy.
· Compensation: $17.30/hr
· Shift/Hours: Flexible, but must be able to work evenings and weekends

1. Prepares drink orders for guests.
2. Sets up and maintains cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unites and other tools, stocking and transporting supplies to bar areas.
3. Completes opening and closing duties. Ensures liquors, beer, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas are secured upon end of shift.
4. Processes all payment methods. Counts bank at end of shift, completes designated reports, resolves discrepancies, drops off receipts and secures bank.
5. Follows all Maricopa County Health Department and Arizona Liquor Board rules, regulations, laws and procedures. Follows alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated guests.
6. In the event of an emergency, ensures that all evacuation and safety protocols are followed. Maintains communication with all staff during emergencies to maximize effectiveness of the protocols needed to respond to situation.
7. Performs other duties as required
