 Job Summary: While maintaining good public relations with the community and implementing the goals of the Agency, this position handles accounting and clerical tasks in the Client Trust section of the Fiscal Department using proper guidelines and initiative in keeping or reviewing Agency, financial records. 

Responsibilities: 

· Do monthly or weekly check runs to pay client bills

· Process check deposits, apply to correct client and save all relevant documents

· Complete applications for clients to qualify for benefits

· Work with variety of government agencies (e.g. DDS, SSI) to ensure agency clients receive all benefits they are entitled to

· Communicate with case workers and vendors to resolve problems affecting agency clients

· Perform monthly and annual reconciliations on client accounts

· Prepare reports for government agencies

· Work on special programs as assigned

· Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Education: An employee in this classification must have training and experience equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade with three years of experience in keeping or reviewing financial records required.

Special Skills and Knowledge and Other Qualifications:

· Ability to reason logically and accurately and to make arithmetical computations

· Must be able to follow complex instructions and establish practices and procedures

· Must be able to operate a 10-key adding machine by touch

· Knowledge of practices and terminology used in accounting clerical work Knowledge of the methods of record keeping and filing 

· Knowledge of developmental disability programs and social security desirable

· Knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
