The Platform Engineering team, which this job advert relates to, sits within the Bidding Platform and owns the platform and infrastructure that our bidding applications run on — deployment, monitoring, databases, load balancing and Kubernetes. The team makes sure these foundations stay reliable and scalable under massive, low-latency load, and provides self-service tooling with clear usage contracts, so the vertical (business) teams can build and ship autonomously. The exact scope is likely to evolve over time as our platform grows in scale and complexity.
You will have the autonomy to select the best tools for the job. The current stack includes: Java, Python, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Aerospike, Memcached, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, MinIO, Kafka, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, Graphite.
