The Electrical Apprentice assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage substation equipment and infrastructure. They work under the supervision of a Journeyperson Electrician to perform preventive maintenance, structural assembly, and testing of power systems.
Candidates must be a registered Electrical Apprentice with a valid Class 5 Driver's License and a thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. The role requires the ability to work at heights, travel to remote sites, and perform physical work in adverse weather conditions.

What You'll Do
Reporting to the Journeyperson Electrician, the Electrical Apprentice is responsible for assisting with the installation and maintenance of low- and high-voltage equipment within electrical substations. In this role, the Electrical Apprentice will gain hands-on experience in the installation of grounding grids, structural steel erection, and the assembly and repair of power system equipment. The Electrical Apprentice will assist with the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of high-voltage transformers and other related substation equipment.
