The Certified Peer Support Specialist provides individualized recovery support services in a Peer Living Room setting to promote self-determination and community integration. They facilitate peer support groups, assist with decision-making, and model effective coping techniques for individuals facing mental health or substance use challenges.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and hold a valid North Carolina Peer Support Specialist certification. A valid driver's license, automotive insurance, and the ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen are required.
