Reynaers develops aluminium systems for windows and doors. After extrusion, the profiles are further finished in our own production facilities. The ERAP department plays a crucial role in this process and is responsible for thermally insulating these profiles by mechanically rolling in plastic strips – an essential step in ensuring the quality and performance of the final product.
We are looking for a Production Manager for this ERAP production department. The department consists of 11 production lines and a logistics team that supports production (Aluroller, Muller and Sorting).
As Production Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management through the team leaders and for delivering strategic improvement projects. You will manage four team leaders and act as the link between the shop floor and senior management.
A key assignment in this role is to further professionalise the department and prepare it for the expected growth in the coming years.
Main responsibilities
· Strategy & direction
You actively contribute to a strong safety culture and translate the company objectives into concrete production targets in terms of quality, capacity, cost and safety. You monitor KPIs and ensure clear and frequent reporting to management.
· Projects & continuous improvement
You initiate and lead improvement projects focused on efficiency and process optimisation, including LEAN, SMED, standardisation and investments. You also take a leading role in organisational changes and the implementation of new systems.
· Financial management
You are responsible for preparing and monitoring the production budget and reporting on this to management.
· People management
You are responsible for a team of approximately 70 FTE and directly manage four team leaders. You ensure that day-to-day shop floor management takes place through them and focus on strengthening their role as people managers.
· Quality, safety & collaboration
You ensure compliance with quality and safety standards and regularly align with the various supporting departments.
Profile
- You speak Dutch fluently
- Experience in a production environment with multiple lines and a clear focus on efficiency improvement (LEAN, SMED, standardisation)
- Consciously manages through team leaders and does not take over the operational role personally
- Strong at coaching and empowering managers, with a focus on ownership and decision-making
- Works in a structured way with KPIs and translates improvement initiatives into concrete results, including OEE and productivity
- Thinks in terms of systems and scalability rather than ad hoc solutions
- Able to bring a team along in an environment with high variation, changeover times and repetitive jobs
