Are you ready to play a hands-on role in food safety, training and community impact? You support the success, safety and compliance of a protein processing and training program by preparing workspaces, guiding program participants and maintaining high food safety standards. You contribute directly to operational efficiency while helping participants build skills that support long-term employability and self-sustainment. What success looks like in the first 6–12 months includes maintaining a well-organized and compliant protein processing room, confidently training and supervising participant groups, partnering effectively with inspectors and internal teams and ensuring activities run safely, smoothly and on schedule.
Day in the Life
Stock and Preparation
Stock and prepare necessary supplies for all program participant activities.
Ensure product, pallets, boxes, tape and trash receptacles are set up and ready before tasks begin.
Safety and Compliance
Adhere to PPE, sanitation and food safety guidelines.
Participate in cleaning, sanitation and regular testing.
Partner with the USDA inspector to maintain compliance.
Training and Supervision
Provide training and ongoing supervision for each participant group.
Ensure new groups receive proper instructions and organizational information.
Supervise continuous restocking of supplies during activities.
Clean-Up and Maintenance
Clean and prepare stations and break rooms for the next group.
Maintain accurate records and activity reports.
Work Training Program
Supervise the work training program.
Communicate with the work training administrator to coordinate activities.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
How you have spent your time
High School Diploma or GED.
At least one year of food manufacturing experience.
Other Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Ability to obtain AIB, ServSafe and forklift certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
How you have spent your time
At least one year in a leadership role.
Safety Sensitive Designation
This position is classified as Safety Sensitive under Oklahoma law. Employees in safety sensitive roles perform duties where even a momentary lapse in concentration could result in injury to themselves, others or cause environmental harm. Physical & Environmental Expectations
This role requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling, including heavy lifting. Work occurs in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, varying temperatures and weather conditions. PPE use is required. Overtime, weekends, holidays and on-call availability may be necessary.
