The Medical Assistant is responsible for recording vital signs, documenting patient histories in the EMR, and assisting medical staff with examinations. They also handle front office duties, phlebotomy, and the administration of injectable medications and immunizations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, graduate from an accredited medical assisting school, and possess at least one year of experience. Required certifications include a current CPR (BLS) and certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
The Medical Assistant will be a highly motivated, quality-conscious healthcare worker interested in working in an environment where one-on-one time with patients and positive outcomes are the ultimate measurement of success.
