The Respiratory Therapist provides pulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory therapy, and critical care services for patients. Responsibilities include managing mechanical ventilation, performing arterial punctures, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans.
Candidates must be graduates of a recognized Respiratory Therapy school and be certified by the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT). Proficiency in CPR and the ability to operate specialized respiratory equipment are required.
