Facilitate youth programs by leading activities, circles, and discussions while supporting social-emotional development. Manage logistics, transportation, and behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and engaging environment for participants.
Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED and the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check. Experience working with diverse youth populations and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor settings are required.

POSITION MISSION: Deliver 1st-12th grade programming that offers growth and meaningful progression of leadership and social emotional learning skills for youth.
REPORTING AND RELATIONSHIPS
The Youth Engagement Specialist reports to the Associate Director of School-based Programs or the Assistant Director of Youth Programs, depending on the primary project area assigned to.
POSITION AVAILABILITY
The Youth Engagement Specialist delivers programming after school, occasional day hours, and 1-2 weekends per month. This position is part time 10-25 hours per week.

In most cases, youth attend programming with 100% of their participation costs covered by funds raised by PEAK. Instead of a financial obligation, participants commit to staying engaged with the organization and giving back to their community. PEAK hopes all youth in its programs are engaged in 10 weeks of high-quality summer programming and activities that nurture their development while providing intentional and thoughtful programming during the academic year. A main goal of the organization is to offer youth comprehensive programming that builds leadership-focused, social and emotional learning skills, spanning into adulthood. PEAK hopes its work will become recognized as a national best-practice model for supporting youth in realizing their leadership potential and applying their skills and influence in their workplaces and communities.
