The Payroll Officer will manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Australian legislation and company policies. They will also act as a key point of contact for payroll-related enquiries and support system administration for SAP and UKG platforms.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in Australian payroll and 2 years of experience with SAP and UKG/Kronos systems. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of payroll legislation, and the ability to work on-site at the Wilpinjong Mine are essential.
Our Wilpinjong Mine is an open-cut coal mining operation located in the western coalfields of New South Wales, approximately 40–50 kilometres northeast of Mudgee, near the village of Wollar.

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our Peabody Business Services (PBS) team. You will deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll services for our Wilpinjong site, while supporting other Australian sites as required.
Working closely with site leadership teams, employees, HR and the national payroll function, you will ensure payroll and time & attendance data is accurately captured, maintained and processed. This role also plays an important part in supporting system administration, answering employee enquiries, assisting with payroll-related compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is offered on a Monday to Friday roster, providing a balanced work-life schedule and supporting a residential lifestyle in the beautiful Mudgee region.
