Responsible for the daily care of layer hens and maintaining barn sanitation to ensure optimal egg production. Duties include monitoring bird health, managing feed and water systems, and performing minor facility maintenance.
Candidates must be physically capable of walking long periods, bending, and lifting up to 5 lbs while working around live birds. Availability to work six days a week, including weekends and holidays, is required.

Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Animal Caretaker for our Layer Farm in Roggen, CO. This position is responsible for caring for layer hens and ensuring barns are properly maintained to ensure optimal egg production while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the Production Farm Lead with other projects and duties as needed.
