Trainees will undergo 280 hours of paid classroom and hands-on training to master safe driving and freight handling. Responsibilities include operating vehicles within DOT regulations and loading/unloading trailers using various equipment.
Applicants must possess a Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) before starting the program. A high school degree or equivalent is preferred.

ODTDT Training consists of classroom curriculum, 280 hours of paid Pickup & Delivery Driver Training and Line Haul Driver Training. Successful completion of Driver Training Program results in trainee receiving certification to operate Old Dominion tractor and trailers.
