The Surgical Technologist provides technical assistance and support to medical staff during ophthalmic surgical procedures. They are also responsible for coordinating necessary supplies and equipment for physician and service needs.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited surgical technology program with at least one year of experience or three years of full-time operating room experience. A valid American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Performs various tasks and duties to provide technical assistance and support to medical/surgical staff and personnel during and in the turnover of surgical procedures. Specializes in Ophthalmic procedures within surgical services and potentially works with pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Is responsible for coordinating supplies and equipment for service and physician needs as directed by supervisor.
Three (3) years of full-time employment within the last seven (7) years in an Operating Room setting working as a Surgical Technologist.
