What you will do​

We are looking for a Global Head of Finance to shape and drive our global Accounting and Controlling strategy that align with the organization’s global business objectives. The future jobholder will be part of the Global Management Team and works closely with our departments in Global Operations such as HR, PMO, Legal, IT.

• Lead the global Finance organization across more than 20 entities and directly manage a team of senior Finance professionals with both regional and functional responsibilities. Oversee key areas including Global Finance and Controlling projects, internal and external reporting, transfer pricing, and travel management. Provide guidance, support, and strategic sparring while fostering individual and team development.
• Analyze and improve Finance metrics and identify organizational needs to drive the development and implementation of the global Accounting and Controlling strategy to support all relevant stakeholders internally within msg global group and towards the wider msg group.
• Work closely with our senior leadership team across the globe and act as partner and trusted advisor on all Finance related matters.
• Steer continuous improvement and standardization of global Accounting and Controlling processes, programs and tools (e.g. S4Hana, SAP Concur) such as revenue recognition, transfer pricing, cross boarder tax topics (e.g. Pillar II, Withholding Taxes), policy enhancement, to foster operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements as well as country specific legislation and together with peers in Global Operations regularly conduct internal audits on entity level
• Drive team development through guidance, coaching and counselling regarding Finance and to all management levels
• Manage Finance projects as required on global, regional or country level e.g. implementation of new legal entity
• Report directly to the CFO/COO and act as trusted partner with the responsibility for the governance of global Finance topics and organization

What we are looking for​

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, with an academic foundation in Finance and Accounting  
• Several years of experience in a leadership role in Finance with a strong focus on accounting; proven ability to lead, inspire and develop teams in a global and culturally diverse environment, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comprehensive expertise across key Accounting disciplines, including legal group consolidation, operational Finance processes, transfer pricing, tax operations, and travel management, combined with a solid understanding of global Accounting standards, regulations and best practices
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, demonstrating both conceptual strength and operational execution capability and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, global matrix organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with thorough way of working and attention to detail
• High level of result orientation, combined with strong organizational skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• Fluency in English and German, additional languages are considered an asset
