Provide accurate cost estimates for fabricated sheet metal and high-level assemblies based on engineering models and blueprints. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Supply Chain to analyze customer projects and determine the most effective manufacturing processes.
Requires an Associate's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering and 3-5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SolidWorks, blueprint reading, and knowledge of metal fabrication processes like laser cutting and welding are essential.
The Costing Engineer reports directly to the Vice President of Components and provides quick and accurate estimates for fabricated sheet metal and high-level assemblies. Will also provide technical assistance to Sales, Engineering, Operations and Purchasing in analyzing customer projects to provide timely and accurate quotes
