Job Summary
We are hiring a motivated Field Application Specialist to join our technical support team in a medical equipment and biotechnology distribution company. The selected candidate will support our genomics and biotechnology product portfolio by providing customer training, product demonstrations, workflow support, troubleshooting, and post-sales scientific assistance.
This position is suitable for fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, genomics, or related life-science fields.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide technical and application support for genomics and biotechnology products.
• Support customers during product installation, operation, and workflow implementation.
• Conduct product demonstrations, hands-on training, and technical presentations.
• Support the sales team with technical explanations during customer discussions and product positioning.
• Prepare and deliver scientific product presentations, workshops, and training sessions.
• Stay updated on product knowledge, protocols, IFUs, application notes, and vendor updates.
• Prepare visit reports, training reports, and technical support summaries.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Science, preferably from Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related life-science department.
• Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology, genomics, biotechnology, laboratory work, application support, or technical support.
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, gel electrophoresis, and sequencing basics.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand scientific protocols, IFUs, and product manuals.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, installations, demonstrations, and training.
• For male candidates, military service must be completed, exempted, or not required.
Preferred Knowledge/Experience
• Previous laboratory experience in molecular biology, biotechnology, microbiology, or genomics is preferred.
• Experience in customer training or technical presentations is an advantage.
• Customer-oriented mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
