The Specialist, Capacity Building, will support the Senior Manager and guide all academic associates in designing
and strengthening the pedagogical and training vision across programmes. The role requires strong expertise in
pedagogy, curriculum design, instructional practices, teacher professional development, and adult learning.
This role involves designing and reviewing training strategies, curriculum-linked session plans, facilitation guides,
observation tools, assessments, coaching frameworks, and training evaluation systems that are aligned to
foundational learning outcomes, classroom realities, and programme goals.
The CB Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all trainings and academic materials
are instructionally strong, contextually relevant, implementation-friendly, and capable of improving teacher practice
and student learning outcomes at scale.
The role is highly pedagogy-heavy and requires the ability to connect curriculum expectations, classroom practice,
child learning principles, and teacher support into meaningful and actionable professional development

Responsibilities
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include:
● Design pedagogically strong training strategies, professional development roadmaps, and curriculum-aligned
session plans for various stakeholder groups
● Develop and review teacher-facing and facilitator-facing materials including session plans, facilitator guides,
observation tools, assessments, reflection tools, and classroom support resources
● Ensure strong alignment between pedagogy, curriculum goals, learning outcomes, classroom realities, and
training design
● Apply principles of instructional design, andragogy, foundational literacy and numeracy, and child learning while
designing capacity building experiences
● Review and strengthen the academic rigor, instructional flow, facilitation quality, and usability of all training and
curricular materials created by the team
● Build contextualised professional development frameworks to support teachers, HMs, BRTEs, district teams,
delivery staff, and other stakeholders
● Conduct classroom observations, training observations, and field immersions to identify implementation gaps
and strengthen programme quality
● Analyse classroom and training data to identify trends, instructional gaps, and opportunities for improving
teacher support systems
● Create periodic reports, learning notes, and implementation insights that strengthen programme design and
decision-making
● Support associates and senior associates through coaching, feedback, capacity building, and ongoing
professional development
● Continuously research and integrate effective pedagogical practices, instructional strategies, and teacher
development models into programme design
● Collaborate closely with content, delivery, state reform, and data teams to ensure academic consistency and
implementation effectiveness across.
• Support Curriculum and Content Development during peak deliverable times with collective ownership.

Prerequisites
● An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Education, Curriculum Design, Teacher Education, English, Child
Development, Psychology, or any relevant discipline
● At least 4 years of relevant work experience in teacher training, curriculum design, pedagogy, instructional design,
learning and development, or education programme implementation
● Strong understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy, classroom instruction, curriculum alignment,
and adult learning principles
● Experience in designing and reviewing training materials, session plans, assessments, observation tools, and
professional development frameworks
● Experience working with teachers, school leaders, or education systems in the public education space
is preferred
● At least 1 year of experience managing or mentoring entry-level team members
● Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite applications.
