SUMMARY
The VP Site of Care Strategy & Operations will be a visible commercial and operational leader responsible for developing and executing strategies that support appropriate site-of-care readiness, operational excellence, timely patient access to therapy, and operational execution of hub, including co-pay, case management and reimbursement support capabilities. This role will lead cross-functional efforts to understand and address barriers across the treatment journey, including coordination among key stakeholders including patients, prescribing HCPs, and specialty infusion providers.
This position will establish the strategic direction for site-of-care initiatives through insight generation, market analysis, operational assessment, and cross-functional planning. The role will be responsible for evolution of Lundbeck’s existing Vyepti Infusion Network (VIN) and span a broad range of sites of care, which may include health systems, neurology practices, ambulatory infusion centers, hospital outpatient departments, specialty infusion providers or alternative sites of care (ASOCs).
The VP Site of Care Strategy & Operations will be accountable for building a scalable, compliant, and operationally effective site-of-care strategy that supports provider education, care coordination, operational readiness, and patient access. The role requires strong commercial judgment, external partner management, vendor oversight, and the ability to lead complex initiatives in a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Site of Care and Hub Strategy
Lead the development and execution of a multi-year site-of-care strategy designed to support appropriate access, operational readiness, and a consistent treatment experience with focus on evolution of existing Vyepti Infusion Network (VIN).
Identify, prioritize, and address operational barriers that may affect speed to therapy, site readiness, care coordination, and treatment continuity.
Evaluate site-of-care strategy and operations based on objective factors such as geographic access, capacity, capabilities, patient and provider experience, payer considerations, quality standards, operational feasibility, and compliance requirements.
Identify and align all required resources – internally and externally – to ensure effective and seamless achievement of goals, plans and critical initiatives
Collaborate with marketing, market access, patient services, medical, legal, compliance, data analytics, and field leadership to align on a single site-of-care agenda.
Translate site-of-care insights into strategic choices, operational priorities, and execution plans that support brand and franchise objectives in a compliant manner.
Site of Care and Hub Operations & Excellence
Develop and maintain operating standards, playbooks, workflows, and governance processes that support effective coordination across sites of care and external service providers.
Provide leadership and oversight of the operations team who oversee day-to-day tactics by establishing and monitoring program goals and key performance indicators to ensure effective functioning.
Measure customer satisfaction with sites of care and patient support and propose solutions to make improvements where necessary (in consultation with Marketing and Sales)
Lead initiatives focused on site readiness, education, infrastructure, operational consistency, and care pathway coordination.
Identify opportunities to simplify or improve treatment-process steps, reduce operational friction, and support a more predictable patient and provider experience.
Serve as a senior escalation point for site-of-care operational issues, working cross-functionally to resolve barriers efficiently and appropriately.
Partner with data and analytics teams to identify trends, surface issues requiring intervention, and inform continuous improvement.
External Partner & Vendor Management
Manage strategic relationships with appropriate external partners, vendors, and service providers involved in supporting site-of-care initiatives and ensuring cohesive approach to patient support.
Leads the team responsible for leading vendor and business partner assessments, including RFP participation, selection input, onboarding, and ongoing oversight.
Work with Legal, Compliance, Contracting, and Procurement to ensure external arrangements are structured and managed consistent with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, fair market value principles, and legitimate business needs.
Leads the team responsible for monitoring external partner performance against contracted service obligations, operational standards, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
Support disciplined governance forums with external partners focused on operational performance, service quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic direction and execution guidance for customer-facing teams as they engage appropriate stakeholders on site-of-care barriers, resources, education, and operational considerations.
Lead complex and innovative projects in a fast-moving commercial environment, establishing vision, direction, priorities, and measurable execution milestones.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop solutions that support patient experience initiatives while maintaining appropriate separation from clinical decision-making and patient choice.
Represent site-of-care strategy and performance to senior leadership, including insights, operational progress, risks, resource needs, and business implications.
Exercise disciplined budget stewardship for site-of-care initiatives, ensuring resources are deployed against legitimate business needs, access objectives, operational priorities, and appropriate measurable outcomes.
