The Payroll Specialist is responsible for completing payroll on a timely basis, ensuring that all earnings and deductions are accurate. The payroll specialist will be able to use payroll software with accuracy and efficiency. They will also be responsible for completing certified payroll reports on a biweekly basis, as well as monthly CCIP reports.
Duties and Responsibilities
Complete and submit biweekly payrolls for all four locations.
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports biweekly.
Prepare and submit CCIP reports monthly.
Gather information on hours worked for each employee
Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissions with the assistance of a computer system
Processing wage garnishments
Entering data into databases and spreadsheets
Performing account balance reconciliations and keeping PayCom up to date with this information.
Responding to payroll relate inquiries and resolving concerns
Preparing reports for senior management, finance department, etc.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding payroll and financial matters
Great communications skills to interact with HR and senior management
Qualifications
Required
Two years accounting experience
Preferred
Ability to work well with others
Willingness to tackle all tasks assigned
Willingness to learn and improve
Ability to complete tasks quickly and accurately
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED, with minimum of 3 years office related experience, OR
Associate degree from an accredited college with 2 years working experience, or on the job training may substitute as equivalent
