Requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and walking for most of the workday. Previous luxury hotel experience is preferred, along with basic English reading and writing skills.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public areas and assists room attendants in order to maintain Langham and Forbes standards of quality. Assist colleagues whenever they are in need of help.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES:
Ensure all areas are kept free of soiled linen and trash. Stock closets with all supplies and linen as directed. Obtain amenities and supplies for room attendants as directed.
Pick up and sanitize glasses according to hotel policy.
Keep butler pantries and housekeeping storage areas clean and neat.
Vacuum, sweep, and/or mop hallways, stairwells and foyers as needed.
Clean and remove spots from corridor walls and doors. Polish and clean mirrors, room numbers on guestroom doors, and elevator rooms.
Flip mattresses and move furniture as assigned by supervisor.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
In slow season it is necessary to support in other areas such as laundry, public area, and room attendants.
Respond to guest questions. Provide guest assistance, directions and/or escort guests, and provide information as requested.
Provide service to hotel guests as specified in Langham and Forbes service standards.
Ensure to always be immaculately dressed according to hotel standards
Assist with any other requests from supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, stand and walk continuously, climb stairs, and push or pull heavy equipment. Requires walking 90 - 95 % of workday. Must be able to push / up to 50 lbs.
SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of stain removal and chemical cleaning agents, and operation of different types of equipment.
Ability to learn how to properly work with hazardous chemicals in accordance with company standards.
Ability to read and write basic English to complete forms such as a room status report.
Ability to organize and prioritized work and meet deadlines.

Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous luxury hotel experience preferred.

SALARY RANGE:
$22.16 - $27.70/hour
