This is a highly visible position that will directly influence the growth, efficiency, and long-term success of the business. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in leading trucking companies, understands the complexity of asset-based operations, and has the leadership presence to build, develop, and hold teams accountable.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership

  • Lead all day-to-day trucking operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and service excellence

  • Manage maintenance programs, vendor relationships, and lifecycle planning
  • Ensure proper licensing, registration, plating, and asset tracking
  • Optimize fleet utilization and ROI on equipment investments

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

  • Ensure full compliance with all DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records including driver qualification files, safety records, and equipment documentation
  • Oversee permitting for heavy haul and over-dimensional freight
  • Lead safety initiatives and reduce risk across the operation

Financial & Business Performance

  • Own the P&L for the trucking operation
  • Drive cost control across fuel, maintenance, insurance, and labor
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement and operational efficiency
  • Partner with leadership on fleet growth strategy and capital investments

Growth & Strategic Execution

  • Lead the continued expansion of the fleet (recent additions include 12 trucks and 20 trailers)
  • Build infrastructure to support scaling operations without sacrificing service
  • Identify opportunities to expand capabilities in heavy haul and specialized freight
  • Implement systems and reporting to support data-driven decision making

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success owning or influencing P&L performance
  • Ability to lead from the front—hands-on, accountable, and solutions-oriented
  • Strong communication and leadership presence

What We’re Looking For

  • A leader who holds standards high and builds strong teams
  • Someone comfortable being highly visible and accountable for results
  • Operationally sharp with the ability to balance people, process, and performance

Why This Role Matters

This is not a maintenance role—this is a growth role. With a rapidly expanding fleet and a focus on specialized freight, this position is critical to building a best-in-class trucking operation.
