The Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and security of server, virtualization, and cloud environments. This role ensures system stability, performance, and scalability while supporting both project-based implementations and ongoing operational needs.
Systems Administration & Infrastructure
Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
Maintain virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
Cloud & Hybrid Environments
Support Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
Assist with cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure deployments.
Implement identity, access, and security configurations.
Operations & Optimization
Monitor system performance, reliability, and patching.
Troubleshoot escalated system and server issues.
Improve automation, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain system documentation and configuration standards.
Identify opportunities to improve performance, security, and scalability.
Requirements
3–5+ years of systems engineering or administration experience
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization knowledge
Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and backup solutions
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and time-management skills
