Responsible for administering safe respiratory care, monitoring mechanical ventilation, and performing patient assessments. Duties include managing artificial airways, performing ABG analysis, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team for patient weaning and mobility.
Requires a degree or certificate from an accredited respiratory therapy program and a valid RCP license. BCLS and ACLS certifications are required, while RRT credentials and over one year of experience are preferred.
Kindred Hospital South Florida – Ft. Lauderdale and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) offers the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. With 53 long-term acute care hospital beds, including an eight-bed Intensive Care Unit, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Similarly, our 11-bed ARU is designed for people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment or illness. We are located in the heart of Ft. Lauderdale with easy access to many shops and restaurants.
Job Summary
Responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, understanding ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, understanding blood work results, monitoring, teaching, and training.
