The Compounder Operator is responsible for following manufacturing instructions to produce liquid formulas and emulsions while maintaining equipment. They must ensure compliance with food safety and quality plans, including proper handling of allergens and inventory rotation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in the flavor or a closely related industry. Proficiency in compounding techniques, raw material handling, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.
Our Clark location is part of our Taste Division, producing flavors and ingredients. Our Clark facility is unique in the sense they have two buildings. The North building has a fruitier smell to it, the teams in that building are producing natural flavorings and essential oils. The South building is the complete opposite, it will have savory and garlic smells because the team is producing seasonings for meat, chicken broth, and beef gravy.

Shift/Working Hours 3rd shift / Friday 1030pm-630am, Saturday 6pm-6am, Sunday 6pm-6am and Monday 1030pm-630am
Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch sheet using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality. Product Formulation from raw materials including but not limited to
1. Compounding various liquid formulas and preparing emulsions used in product formulas.
2. Operation, Cleaning and Maintenance of processing equipment
3. Basic Understanding of Phoenix technology.
4. Understanding and performing picking and staging.
5. Understanding water systems (DI, RO etc)
6. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
7. Prior knowledge of filtration technologies are a plus.
8. Properly label all batches submitted to the lab for evaluation.
9. Utilize inventory lot rotation (FIFO) for all materials used.
10. Proper handling of Allergen products and equipment according to Allergen Control Procedures
Responsible for conformance to Food Safety and Food Quality Plans as described in the Kerry Clark SQF
11. Systems manual. Must report any and all deviations to a member of management and QA- and set product aside until further instructed.
12. Other duties assigned by Management
Working Environment Factory environment with exposure to flavor, and basic product chemicals and raw materials.
The pay rate for this position is $26.00 per hour.
