JA Frate is a well-established transportation and logistics company serving the Chicagoland area through LTL, FTL, warehousing, distribution, and freight brokerage services. We are looking for a dependable CDL Class A Driver who takes pride in safe driving, great service, and being part of a team that keeps freight moving.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 2nd shift with a 2:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. start time. Typical shifts are 9–10 hours. Home every night and no weekends.

Candidates will train at our Crystal Lake home base terminal for the first week. Paid mileage is provided.

What You’ll Do

· Safely operate a tractor-trailer or commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations.

· Transport local freight and complete pickups and deliveries professionally.

· Load, unload, and secure freight as needed.

· Complete pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records.

· Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members.

What We’re Looking For

· Valid CDL Class A license required.

· Minimum of 2 years of CDL A driving experience required.

· Pick-up and delivery experience preferred.

· Must be at least 23 years old.

· Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred; required within 3 months of hire.

· High school diploma or GED equivalent.

· Strong safety mindset and professional communication skills.

· Must meet company driving standards and pass required screenings, including drug screen, DOT physical, Functional Employment Physical, and random drug testing program.
