The pharmacist provides direct pharmaceutical care to patients as part of an interdisciplinary team, including medication monitoring and patient counseling. They also participate in clinical research, student mentoring, and drug information services.
Candidates must be graduates of a recognized School of Pharmacy and eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Pharmacy Regulator. A minimum of two years of hospital pharmacy experience and completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program are preferred.

Under the direct supervision of the Manager Clinical Services, the Pharmacist will participate in the provision of direct pharmaceutical care to inpatients/outpatients as a member of the interdisciplinary care team. Duties include patient counseling, medication monitoring, student mentoring, drug utilization reviews, liaison with Community Pharmacists and education/drug information. The Pharmacist participates in any clinical pharmacy research in which the Clinical Division Manager is involved.
