Maintain and extend the CODE and RPG systems to transfer scientific algorithms into operational baseline applications for the NEXRAD radar network. Develop, debug, and configure custom software and Linux workstations to support distributed algorithm development.
Requires high-level proficiency in C, C++, Fortran, and Linux system administration. A background in meteorology and experience translating mathematical prototypes into high-performance code is preferred.
