About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support a nation-wide FMCG contract within our Facilities Management division. This role is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of the account, partnering closely with operational teams and stakeholders to drive performance, deliver insights, and ensure robust financial governance.
You will play a critical role in influencing decision-making through financial analysis, improving processes, and ensuring accurate, timely reporting across all aspects of the contract.
The role will report directly into the Finance Manager with indirect reporting into the Operations function on the client contract.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Lead month-end close processes including variance analysis, journals, invoicing, and reporting
Ensure accurate and timely financial outputs aligned to internal controls and reporting standards
Present financial results and insights to both internal stakeholders and client representatives
Business Partnering & Analysis
Deliver P&L analysis and identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance
Develop reporting tools and contract analytics to support commercial decision-making
Partner with operations to drive accountability for cost control and profit optimisation
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring visibility of risks and opportunities
Collaborate with stakeholders to align on financial plans and performance targets
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and client teams
Present financial insights at client and operational meetings
Provide financial guidance and training to enhance capability across the business
Governance & Process Improvement
Drive process improvements and standardisation across finance and contract operations
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, governance frameworks, and reporting requirements
Contract & Commercial Support
Manage invoicing, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support contract variations, pricing reviews, and commercial analysis
Monitor spend, vendor activity, and cash collection targets
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong blend of technical finance expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
Key Skills & Experience
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering
Strong ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
Experience in facility management or operational environments (highly regarded)
CA/CPA qualification (desirable)
