This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to join Infoxchange’s Marketing and Communications team on a 12-month parental leave contract, 3 days per week. You’ll take the lead on event production and key programs — from managing administration for community programs to co-leading the delivery of the 2027 Technology for Social Justice (T4SJ) Conference (with initial focus on planning and coordination activities).
You’ll bring strong systems thinking, exceptional attention to detail, and the interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key duties and responsibilities
Event production and project management
Coordinate and deliver the end-to-end project management of external events across Infoxchange, providing production support to internal teams as required.
Manage bookings and administration for Infoxchange’s community programs.
Manage incoming speaking requests and coordinate external conference and panel attendance for Infoxchange subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
Support the recruitment and management of external event support, contractors and volunteers for event delivery.
T4SJ Conference
Act as project manager within the MarComms team to collaboratively plan and deliver the 2027 Technology for Social Justice Conference
Operate as event lead for all logistics during the delivery of the conference, orchestrating team execution and managing volunteers or contracted support during event delivery.
Collateral and inventory
Manage Infoxchange’s event collateral production and inventory, including sourcing quotes, placing orders, coordinating delivery, and maintaining inventory records.
Communications and team support
Support event communications across digital and print channels.
Contribute to the broader Marketing and Communications team as required.
What success looks like:
Success in this role will be measured by the effective delivery of high-quality events, strong stakeholder satisfaction, and the establishment of repeatable systems and processes that enable consistent event execution and attendance across the organisation.
Key selection criteria
To succeed in this role at Infoxchange, you will have/be:
Qualifications and Specialist Expertise
3–5 years of demonstrated experience in event production and delivery, including experience delivering digital, hybrid, and face to face events.
Proficiency in professional events management platforms - experience with EventsAir or a comparable platform for registrations, ticketing, payments, and invoicing is highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in events management, marketing, communications, or related discipline, however demonstrated experience is paramount (Desired).
Background or lived experience in community services, social impact, or direct service delivery roles (Desired)
Skills and Capabilities
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and address event requirements well in advance, anticipating stakeholder safety, accessibility and contingency planning.
Exceptional planning and logistics skills, with a sharp eye for the details that shape customer and attendee experience
A systems mindset – you design, maintain and continuously improve processes to ensure consistent, high-quality execution
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with competing stakeholder priorities and expectations.
