Auckland’s home to the IDEXX global software centre of excellence where we develop a portfolio of cloud platforms and applications. We’re seeking a skilled Senior iOS Developer to join our high achieving Auckland team within a squad of keen software engineers focused on one of our products, SmartFlow.
IDEXX continues to invest in Veterinary Software and we’re growing both our capacity to deliver impactful software and the technical expertise to tackle future challenges relating to scale.
The SmartFlow product is an In-Hospital product consisting primarily of a digital whiteboard, a dynamic hospital record, and invoicing/billing functionality. The core purpose of SmartFlow is to provide veterinary staff with an easy-to-use and modern alternative to traditional In-Hospital “pen and paper” workflows. SmartFlow is currently used primarily by Enterprise customers in the USA.
The team recently completed a major backend upgrade and significantly enhanced iOS app performance. As we transition to new feature development, you, as a Senior iOS Engineer, will build on this strong foundation, driving innovative solutions. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the next evolution of our product.
Some key responsibilities of your role:
Design, build and maintain advanced applications for iOS (iPad) using Swift & Objective-C
Lead the full development lifecycle from concept to deployment, ensuring features are intuitive and performant on iPad devices
Ensure the performance, quality and responsiveness of the application
Integrate with backend services, API’s and cloud-based solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, bugs and crashes quickly
Experience with Objective-C and Swift converting Objective-C to Swift)
Experience with principles and practices related to cloud technologies
Practical knowledge of Systems and/or software design.
Agile processes including Scrum, Kanban, and/or others.
Previous experience in scaled SaaS environment is hugely desirable
