The role involves the full software development life cycle for embedded systems, including analysis, design, development, and maintenance of drivers and OS. Additionally, the engineer will produce technical documentation and interface with clients to determine project requirements.
Candidates need an academic background in Engineering or a related field and proficiency in C, C++, or Python. Experience with Object-Oriented Programming and a GNU/Linux background are preferred.

We focus on the development of a wide range of innovative embedded software solutions, including embedded Linux, real-time operating systems, and bare-metal applications, while also covering operating systems, board support packages and device driver development. To cover such a wide variety of challenging software development disciplines, we believe that exceptional and highly empowered employees are essential.
🌍 We work within a hybrid model, with offices based in Lisbon and Porto. We are happy to hire candidates from any city in Portugal, who would be available to come in office, regularly.

💡 Your daily responsibilities include:
Perform any of the activities of a software development life cycle: analyze, design, develop, test, debug, profile, and maintain embedded software, potentially encompassing applications, device drivers, network stacks, board support packages, real-time operating systems, and bare-metal executives;
Produce technical documentation as required;
Interface with clients and partners to understand their wants and needs.
Academic background in Engineering or similar (Software, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics)
Knowledge of C/C++/Python or other programming language used in embedded/systems programming context.
Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming.
Preferably with a GNU/Linux background
Proactive attitude, critical thinker, and problem solver
Motivated individual with the ability to think outside the box.
Good communication skills in English.
👩💻 Our recruitment process consists of three distinct steps, each designed to assess different aspects of a candidate's qualifications, skills, and alignment with the organization.
Stage 1 - 30-minute conversation with recruiter.
Stage 2 - 1-hour technical conversation with members of the engineering team.
Stage 3 - 1-hour conversation with PM or CEO.
