The consultant provides expert safety guidance, site inspections, and risk management services to construction clients to ensure regulatory compliance. They are also responsible for delivering OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour training courses and developing customized safety programs.
Candidates must be authorized OSHA Outreach Trainers with strong knowledge of construction safety standards and experience in incident investigation. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively throughout Florida are required.
Position Overview
At Diversified Construction Safety (DCS), the Construction Safety Consultant plays a vital role in supporting construction personnel and helping our clients maintain safe, compliant, and productive job sites. While construction teams focus on delivering quality projects, our Safety Consultants provide expert guidance, inspections, training, and risk management services to help ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position offering the opportunity to work with a variety of General Contractors and subcontractors throughout the construction industry. The role combines field safety consulting, client relationship management, accident investigation, OSHA compliance support, and safety training delivery.
A key component of this position is serving as an OSHA Outreach Trainer capable of facilitating OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour Construction courses, as well as developing and delivering other OSHA-related training programs tailored to client needs.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable safety professional who combines technical expertise with strong communication and leadership skills. They are comfortable working independently, engaging with clients, conducting field evaluations, delivering training programs, and helping organizations create safer workplaces while maintaining regulatory compliance.
This individual must be self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple client projects simultaneously. They should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment that requires frequent interaction with construction personnel, project management teams, and company leadership.
The ideal candidate must also be willing and able to travel throughout Florida as needed to support client projects and training requirements. Travel may include job sites and client locations throughout the state, including the Tampa Bay area, Southwest Florida (Naples and Fort Myers), South Florida (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach), Central Florida, and surrounding regions. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel overnight when necessary are required.
