The Clinical Director of Hunkapi Programs Inc, a large equinetherapy program in Scottsdale, Arizona, will be responsible for the following:
Overseeing and leading a team of healthcare professionals to deliver the highest quality of care to the clients within our program while reaching organizational goals. Our healthcare team consists of Behavioral Health Technicians, Professionals, and Paraprofessionals who will report to and be supervised by this position. In addition, the role will manage different administration duties such as creating policies and procedures, overseeing and maintaining medical records, preparing for audits, assisting with department budgets, hiring and evaluating staff, coordinating care of clients with other healthcare professionals, participating in staff training and education, and providing therapy to a small caseload of clients.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:
Continually assesses program content to ensure sound, viable and up to date/cutting edge clinical practice.
Reviews clinical documents and ensures they are signed in a timely manner in accordance with contract regulations.
Provides clinical supervision which complies with the objectives and regulations of the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS)
Supports and assists with clinical issues by providing sound clinical oversight and support to program staff, as needed (i.e., difficult case management, crisis intervention, and responsible health care).
Keeps clients’ best interests in mind.
Facilitates one group session minimum per week and one in-service every two months.
Communicates performance objectives with staff and regularly evaluates staff performance to ensure they are on track with their objectives.
Ensures required staff course work is current
Monitors and ensures compliance with contractual objectives and employee documentation.
Strives to improve Hunkapi Programs’ financial outcomes by working within budget constraints and maximizing client contract potential (i.e., assisting in obtaining out-patient licensure status)
Ensures clinical staff work time is scheduled and used efficiently and that overtime hours are awarded minimally
Ensures safety and regulatory guidelines are met
Provides weekly, detailed review with Executive Director
Prepares monthly report to be presented to the Board of Directors
Assists in maintaining company culture
Ensures the business operates within the company's mission statement
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Independently licensed as a Master's Level Counselor or Social Work (LPC or LCSW only) andis an approved Clinical Supervisor in the state of Arizona.
