Overall Objective: The Senior HVAC Service Technician plays a key role in delivering high-quality service, troubleshooting, commissioning, and support for HVAC and building automation systems. Perform service and preventive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment.
Conduct detailed electro-mechanical inspections and maintain system reliability.
Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues with accuracy and confidence.
Perform assisted start-ups of various represented equipment.
Complete clear, timely service reports, same day of service, with parts used and system findings.
Ensure all service documentation is updated daily within CTI’s systems.
HVAC Controls & Software Support
Commission, configure, and program control hardware and software.
Review system data, alarms, and trends to identify performance opportunities.
Update firmware, device parameters, and control configurations as needed.
Assist technicians with advanced troubleshooting and system optimization.
Customer & Field Support
Deliver professional on-site and remote support with a customer-first mindset.
Clearly communicate system status, recommendations, and next steps.
Build strong customer relationships through reliable follow-through and quality service.
Qualifications & Requirements:
5+ years of experience in HVAC mechanical.
Working knowledge of all HVAC system types.
EPA 608 Type II or Universal.
State of Maine Gas License.
Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics.
Comfort with diagnostic software, control interfaces, and field instruments.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to various job sites.
Strong communication skills and a professional presence.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, climb, kneel, and work in mechanical spaces.
Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions.
Preferred Requirements:
State of Maine Gas License with Large Appliance Endorsement.
State of Maine Journeyman or Master Oil License – 1&2 Oils up to 15GPH or larger.
Building Automation Experience – Niagara and Distech.
