The Early Years Educator will provide a safe and nurturing environment while implementing age-appropriate activities based on Aistear and Siolta guidelines. They are responsible for monitoring children's progress, conducting observations, and maintaining effective communication with parents and colleagues.
Candidates must hold a minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare and have at least one year of relevant work experience. Applicants are required to complete Garda Vetting and possess a professional, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
First Flight Creche and Montessori are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Early Years Educator to join their team on a full-time basis. Based in the coastal setting of Furbo, 10km from Galway City, the role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm/9am - 6pm.
The Early Years Educator will participate in the delivery of the daily room requirements whilst working in accordance to company policies and practices at all times.
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Childcare
Minimum 1 year work experience
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Complete Garda Vetting
Current First Aid certification desirable
Friendly, caring, and patient approach to children
Creativity and enthusiasm for assisting in planning activities
Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills
A willingness to take direction from the Room Leader
The ability to work in collaboration with a dedicated team
Highly motivated to work on own initiative
A professional and enthusiastic disposition
Flexible and adaptable
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's development using Aistear & Siolta guidelines
To support children’s emotional, social and cognitive development
Conduct observations of children under the direction of the room leader
Monitor and record children's progress
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the childcare setting
To be flexible with regards working in a different room, if necessary.
Salary based on experience and qualifications.
Own transport desirable due to location, though the creche is on a bus route.
