Our mission at HEY HOLY: Taking dog health to the next level through nutrition. Instead of one-size-fits-all, we focus on breed-specific, functional food – developed with veterinarians and with the goal of enabling every dog to live a long, healthy life.

What began as an idea in 2022 is today a rapidly growing DTC subscription model serving over 20,000 dogs. Our 15-person team is set to grow to over 35 by the end of 2026 – now is the perfect time to join.

Tasks

From our Frankfurt office:

• You coordinate and execute daily finance operations – from payments to ensuring smooth transactional processes


• You perform pre-closing activities for the monthly close and coordinate the full closing cycle with our external accounting firm (Steuerberatungsbüro)


• You take ownership of cost controlling: ensuring accuracy of reports, enabling transparent data sharing, and proactively identifying improvement opportunities to drive profitability


• You take ownership of building and scaling our finance function: identifying manual processes, introducing new tools and technologies, and continuously improving workflows to create a finance setup that can support our next stage of growth


• You monitor cashflow, maintain a rolling 13-week forecast, and provide management with forward-looking insights to support business decisions and sustainable growth


• You act as the key contact point for external finance stakeholders as well as for internal teams on finance-related requests and projects

Requirements

• Experience: A degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or similar is a plus, but equivalent practical experience is equally valued — you bring at least 2-3 years of experience in the finance field, ideally in audit/consulting and start-ups (or similar dynamic environments). You know how a balance sheet looks like and you can read a cashflow report. You understand the implications of business decisions on financials.


• Lifecycle Ownership: You have already managed finance processes across the full cycle – from daily operations and cashflow monitoring to monthly closings, controlling, and enabling management with forward-looking insights


• Project-driven, tech-oriented & builder mindset: You see finance as more than accounting and operational processes. You enjoy building and evolving finance structures in a fast-growing environment and are excited by the opportunity to shape a function that is still far from its final form. Rather than accepting manual tasks and inefficient workflows as the status quo, you proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and scale processes. You are curious about new technologies and AI-driven solutions and understand how they can help transform finance into a strategic business enabler.


• Hands-on and proactive: You’re comfortable in a dynamic setup where priorities shift, and you know how to push things forward, coordinate with different teams, and make sure topics get done – even when structures aren’t perfect yet


• Performance meets Business Enablement: You work analytically, track and interpret key financial KPIs, and provide clear data-based recommendations – always supplemented by your business intuition and focus on supporting decision-making and profitable growth


• Language skills for target group work: You speak fluent English, German knowledge is a strong plus
