Full job description

Responsibilities

·        Carefully pack cremated pet remains and memorial products according to company guidelines and quality standards

·        Inspect all items for accuracy and quality before packaging, including custom memorial items such as engraved plaques or jewelry

·        Label packages clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and delivery

·        Conduct scanning and rescanning of cremains into designated areas to maintain accurate tracking and system updates

·        Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring all packaging details are logged correctly for review and tracking

·        Collaborate across shifts by participating in handoff meetings, updating the packaging report, and communicating any challenges or special instructions

·        Restock and organize workstations before and after shifts to ensure seamless transitions between team members

·        Identify and promptly report any quality control concerns — such as damaged items or discrepancies — to supervisors

·        Actively assist with adjusting workflows to meet deadlines during high-demand periods

·        Participate in quarterly training sessions to stay current on product offerings and packaging procedures

·        Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times

·        Adhere to all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company procedures

Required Skills & Experience

·        High school diploma or equivalent

·        Leadership, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization

·        Comfortable working with cremated remains in an emotionally sensitive environment

·        Ability to consistently follow detailed procedures and documentation processes

·        Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team

·        Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

·        Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across shifts

·        Commitment to safety protocols and company standards

·     Can work 3:00pm to 11:pm (Monday to Friday)

Preferred Skills

·        Previous experience in a packaging, warehouse, or fulfillment environment

·        Experience in a pet-related, funeral, or after-care industry

·        Familiarity with cremation, mortuary, or veterinary environments

·        Compassionate and empathetic nature — animal lovers encouraged to apply!

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

·        Work is performed primarily in a crematory/packaging setting with exposure to moderate heat, noise, and odors

·        Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift

·        Must be able to safely lift, carry, and move pets and supplies weighing up to 60 pounds

·        Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection as needed

·        Requires focus, attention to detail, and comfort working in an emotionally sensitive environment involving deceased pets

·        May occasionally involve working near delivery drivers or veterinary staff bringing pets into care
