Help shape the future of aged care in South Australia
As a Board Director with Helping Hand, you will help guide our mission to create communities and experiences that enable older people to live their best lives.
Joining a skilled and experienced Board, you will bring an independent governance perspective and contribute to strong decision-making that supports quality care and client outcomes.
This role is suited to a leader with clinical care experience in supporting older people, preferably with expertise in geriatrics.
You will play a key role in strengthening clinical governance, multidisciplinary practice, and quality and safety leadership across the organisation.
As a member, or potential chair, of the Client Care Committee, you will help ensure Helping Hand continues to meet the needs of clients and communities across South Australia.

What you’ll bring
Applications are invited from professionals who have:
● Experience in providing high quality clinical care at a practical level
● Previous governance experience and knowledge of Director duties and responsibilities
● A genuine passion and interest in the aged care sector
● Alignment with Helping Hand’s mission, vision and values
● A valid NDIS Screening clearance or be willing to obtain one
You’ll stand out if you have some of the following:
● Experience overseeing clinical governance arrangements to ensure safe, quality clinical care.
● Experience and broad understanding of the aged care industry.
● A deep understanding of the current health policy environment and its practical application to aged care.

This is a remunerated Board Director position.
Term: Three years term plus eligible for 3 + 3-year extension (total of 9 years)
Time Commitment: The Board typically meets six times per annum, generally on Tuesday afternoons and committees meet quarterly. Extra-ordinary meetings may be called from time to time.
