The Certified Dietary Manager oversees the food service program at a long-term care facility, ensuring high food quality and safety standards. This includes managing inventory, leading the food service team, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Candidates must hold a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification and are preferred to have an associate's degree in food service management and two years of supervisory experience. Additional certifications in Food Protection and Long-Term Care Food Service must be obtained shortly after employment.
