POSITION SUMMARY

The PrimeTime Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the standards of PrimeTime’s workforce

by providing comprehensive hands-on training at the start of employment and as needed throughout employment.

They are responsible for designing and delivering educational programs that improve individual skills and organizational

performance. Their duties include working closely with PrimeTime Program Managers, Assistant Program Managers,

Program Support Specialists, and staff. to determine areas for employee development, conducting coaching and training

for new and existing employees and establishing methods to track employee understanding after the completion of

training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Enhance and/or develop and implement onboarding training plans for new and current employees based

on PrimeTime program standards and Harmonium policy

● Evaluate the effectiveness of PrimeTime onboarding training and workshops and develop appropriate

modification if needed

● Collaborate with Program Managers, Assistant Program Managers, Program Support Specialists, and staff

to identify training needs, schedule and conduct appropriate training sessions for employees

● Develop systems to monitor and ensure new employees are performing their responsibilities according

to the onboarding training plan

● Conduct surveys, interviews, and job analyses to identify specific skill gaps and training requirements

● Design structured training plans, instructional materials, and learning resources like online modules,

manuals, and visual aids

● Facilitate engaging training sessions through various methods, including workshops, seminars,

one-on-one coaching, and virtual trainings

● Provide ongoing guidance and personalized feedback to employees beyond formal sessions to support

their professional growth

● Ensure all PrimeTime Employees are in compliance with all trainings, send reminders about upcoming

expirations and upcoming trainings

● Collaborate with PrimeTime leadership regarding observations and developing plans to ensure all sites

are meeting contract requirements

● Ensure the compliance of PrimeTime and Harmonium standards and procedures during training sessions

● Provide on-site support and mentoring for new employees and identify sections where improvements

are needed

● Provide support throughout PrimeTime as necessary

● Attending trainings provided by ELO and Harmonium to ensure they are staying abreast of staff required

trainings

● Ensure staff are following through with implementing training curriculum and materials

JOB COMPLEXITY

● Coordinate and conduct onboarding process with PrimeTime Hiring Team

● Conduct check-ins with PrimeTime new hires during their 1st week regarding training, questions, etc.

● Tailor and implement trainings to a wide array of learning styles

● Provide additional coaching and training to those who need added support

● Work effectively across all program service areas for Agency wide effective communication and

operations

● Work in collaboration with the Learning and Development Planning Committee

STAFF SUPERVISION

● No supervisory responsibility is assigned

COMMUNICATION

● Develop and maintain positive, clear and consistent, timely professional relationships with all

Harmonium staff

● Regular and ongoing communication with Program Managers, Hiring Team, Assistant Program

Managers, Site Directors and staff as needed

● Collaborate with PrimeTime leadership to identify and address training needs of the program

AGENCY LEADERSHIP

● Represent Harmonium in a positive and professional manner

DECISION MAKING

● Limited decision-making authority; any judgments and/or decisions are guided by Harmonium

and program policies, contracts and guidelines

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● Must have an AA OR 48 college units OR pass the District’s Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam

(a basic math and literacy test)

● Must have either a minimum of 12 completed college units in child development, elementary

and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 12 months

documented work experience in an ASES program

● Three years experience in providing individual coaching and training groups of 10+ individuals

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY

● Ability to self manage and independently create content with minimal guidance

● Ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively

● Excellent leadership and motivational skills

● Strong organization skills to prioritize and set goals for productivity

● Creative and problem-solving skills to invent new ways to accommodate the learning needs of

employees

● Effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to inspire and engage learners

● Good research skills to perform advanced and analytical research to find reliable and relevant content for

employees

● Familiarity with modern and traditional training methods and the willingness to keep abreast of new

techniques in teaching

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

● Valid TB results (required every 4 years)

● Must receive Fingerprint Clearance (paid by Harmonium)

● Must have reliable transportation to travel through San Diego County; when using personal

vehicle, must maintain valid driver’s license and current auto insurance

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

● Ability to operate computer

● Frequent repetitive hand use and simple grasping

● Standing, walking and moving throughout the shift. Occasional kneeling, bending, twisting,

pushing, pulling, reaching above, and below the shoulder.

● Ability to travel throughout the county with the flexibility required to meet job duties

● Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

● Ability to sit for prolonged periods

● High energy needed with the ability to balance multiple high-stress tasks

essential functions

COMPENSATION

Starting Rate: $30.00 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience)

Full Time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and critical illness insurance, a 403b retirement plan plus match, and Vacation & Sick time. In addition, we offer hands-on training, virtual courses, and live presentations for personal and professional development.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
