The Medical Transportation Specialist transports individuals with developmental disabilities to medical appointments and community activities while assisting with daily living tasks. They are also responsible for administering medications, documenting care data, and maintaining a clean and safe environment at the day center.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clear driving record and current automobile insurance. Additionally, they must be able to pass background checks and physically maneuver individuals in wheelchairs.
Job Summary
The Medical Transportation Specialist (MTS) works with individuals with developmental disabilities by taking them to appointments, delivering medications to group homes or day sites, and picking up prescriptions from pharmacies. The MTS will transport individuals to and from their medical appointments in Omaha, Bellevue, and Council Bluffs.
