The Specialty Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of sterile medications and IV admixtures in compliance with USP <797> standards. They also manage drug inventory, perform quality assurance on compounding equipment, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of hospital or similar pharmacy experience. A Pharmacy Technician License is required, along with the ability to obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within 180 days of employment.
