Position Summary
The Compliance Coordinator works in a critical operational environment where our teams value safety and customer service to the highest degree. This position is responsible for supporting and monitoring the organization’s adherence to regulatory, legal, and contractual requirements, internal policies, and industry standards. This position supports the implementation and maintenance of compliance programs related to physical security, environmental and safety regulations, energy efficiency, and information security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
The Compliance Coordinator collaborates with operations, facilities, security, and IT teams to support internal audits, manage documentation, coordinate with third-party assessors, and track corrective actions. They also monitor regulatory developments relevant to data centers, support customer compliance inquiries and audits, and promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Director of Compliance.
Essential Job Functions
Regulatory Compliance and Monitoring
Support the Director of Compliance in monitoring applicable laws, regulations, and standards relevant to data center operations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS)
Develop industry knowledge of applicable standards and security frameworks
Audit Preparation and Support
Assist with internal and external audits, including gathering documentation, coordinating interviews, and responding to findings
Maintain audit-ready documentation and records management systems
Policy Development and Implementation
Assist in developing, updating, and communicating company policies and procedures related to operational and regulatory compliance
Ensure policies are implemented and followed at all data center sites
Training and Awareness
Coordinate training programs on compliance topics (e.g., safety procedures, physical access controls, incident reporting)
Promote awareness of compliance responsibilities across departments
Incident Management and Reporting
Support investigation of safety and compliance-related incidents or near misses
Track and verify completion of corrective and preventive actions
Vendor and Client Coordination
Respond to client compliance inquiries and support contractual compliance obligations
Assist in vendor assessments and ensure third-party compliance with applicable standards
Documentation and Metrics
Maintain accurate compliance records, logs, checklists, and reports
Track and report key compliance metrics to leadership
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in a related field or equivalent combination of education, relevant certifications, and professional experience
2+ years of experience in compliance, audit, operations, risk management, or a related field
