Full job description
Overview
At Groups Recover Together, we are redefining what effective, compassionate opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment looks like, bringing care directly to the communities that need it most. Since 2014, we have supported hundreds of thousands of individuals on their recovery journey through a model that combines medication for addiction treatment (MAT), group therapy, and ongoing peer support.
We are seeking a Physician, Nurse Practitioner (FNP or APRN), or Physician Assistant to join our Member Access team, a critical role focused on engaging patients at the most pivotal point in their recovery: the first days and weeks of treatment.
This is an opportunity to practice meaningful, high-impact medicine in a collaborative, technology-enabled care model while helping remove barriers to treatment for underserved populations.
This role is fully remote within the state of Kentucky.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
As a Member Access Provider, you will play a frontline role in initiating treatment and stabilizing patients early in their recovery journey.
Conduct intake evaluations and initiate MAT (primarily buprenorphine-based treatment)
Deliver care via telemedicine across multiple markets, expanding access to treatment
Support patients intensively during weeks 1–4, ensuring safe and successful treatment initiation
Collaborate with counselors, care teams, and medical leadership to transition patients into ongoing care
Provide clinical coverage and support across provider teams as needed
Contribute to new care model innovations and service line development
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team that prioritizes member engagement, safety, and long-term recovery outcomes, not just visit volume.
Why This Role Stands Out
Practice at the top of your license in a highly specialized addiction care model
Focus on meaningful patient impact during the most critical phase of recovery
Deliver care flexibly through telemedicine, with strong clinical and operational support
Be part of a rapidly growing organization committed to addressing the opioid crisis
Help shape new programs and care pathways alongside medical leadership
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
MD/DO, NP (FNP or APRN), or PA with an active, unrestricted license
Experience treating OUD with buprenorphine (1+ year preferred)
Background in behavioral health, primary care, or addiction medicine
Comfort with telemedicine and technology-enabled care delivery
Commitment to compassionate, recovery-oriented, patient-centered care
Willingness to obtain additional state licenses (supported by Groups)
Schedule
Full time, Monday – Friday with occasional weekend or holiday rotations.
