Job Description Summary
The Materials Leader is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end materials management process, including planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics. This role ensures the seamless flow of materials to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels, reducing costs, and maintaining high standards of supply chain accuracy. Materials Leader will manage materials planning team and ensure all process steps are maintained and developed as necessary. This role will report directly to NAM Remanufacturing Leader.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Materials Leader you will:
Inventory Management: Lead cycle counting programs, maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy, and implement strategies to minimize obsolete or slow-moving stock.
Production Planning: Partner with operations teams to align material availability with production schedules, ensuring on-time delivery for customer orders.
Supplier Engagement: Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate lead times, and resolve supply chain bottlenecks.
Process Improvement: Drive lean initiatives to optimize warehouse space, improve material handling efficiency, and reduce lead times through digitalization or process redesign.
Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of material planners, warehouse staff, or logistics coordinators, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all material handling and storage activities adhere to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and corporate quality standards.
One Team: Work directly with various stakeholders and department owners to troubleshoot and problem solve daily issues with specific corrective and preventative measures in place.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field experience.
4+ years of experience in materials management, inventory control, or logistics.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.

The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
