The role is responsible for managing supplier quality and engineering issues at the Flint Assembly plant to achieve business plan metrics. Key tasks include root cause analysis for vehicle defects and leading the Supplier Quality Action Center team for issue containment.
Candidates need 3+ years of automotive engineering, quality, or manufacturing experience with strong analytical and leadership skills. A bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing and experience with Red-X or vehicle components are preferred.
We are currently looking for a 2nd shift Quality Engineer for the Flint Assembly QE Group. In this role, the successful incumbent will be responsible for upholding GM's purpose and values and ensuring the safe work practices of all its employees. You will support Flint Assembly in achieving business plan metrics with a focus on attainment of Quality metrics through being the leader in supplier quality and engineering issues that arise at Flint Assembly.
